Organization Receives Three Consecutive Four-Star Ratings
Wednesday, December 3, 2008, Des Moines, Iowa – Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities, just gave Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement (Iowa CCI) its top honor – a four-star rating – for the third year in a row. Only 10 percent of the charities rated by Charity Navigator have received at least three consecutive four-star ratings. This rating indicates that the organization “consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America.” Click here for the link to CCI's rating.
Charity Navigator works to “advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace by evaluating the financial health of America’s largest charities.” Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement was evaluated as an organization that uses its finances effectively and efficiently. Charity Navigator gives a four-star honor to organizations that are growing their programs and services over time.
“It is a wonderful honor to have the quality of our work recognized at this level on a national scale, and even more so to receive three consecutive four-star ratings,” said CCI Board President Barb Kalbach from Dexter. “Iowa CCI is a very trustworthy and effective organization, and it is not surprising that we received these ratings.”
Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement is a group of everyday people who talk, act and get things done on issues that matter most. With thousands of members from all walks of life, CCI works for a better quality of life in all communities across Iowa.
